![]() ![]() Note on the quality of the image - during the 1980s many libraries created electronic copies of their images. This was before the widespread use of scanners. The negatives were placed on a lightbox with a video camera on a rostrum. The images were then recorded one at a time onto 1" videotape and later converted to videodisc. This is why you get the rather soft look of the picture above, typical of this type of transfer. Quote:
