Ron, you are able to edit your own posts very easily.

Dale, I built my own set up like Scott posted. I'd go this way. Mine is 3.5M high, so had to assemble it inside the shed. I can easily drive through it (I have lifted and turned my carrier hull on to its sides, with mine)
If you cant do that, but have a strong point (a supported beam in a shed?, or a suitable tree)
If you can hang an endless chain (or chain hoist, or chain block) or what ever you call it, then you manouvere the carrier into place, lift the motor, drag the carrier away, and lower the motor onto a trailer.

My dad used to use a wire strainer, but not recommended in this pc world.
Engine cranes tend to take up a lot of room, and the front legs are often difficult to fit around things. The gantry will be similar, but much more versatile.
Warning about an engine lifter:
Do not be tempted to lift from a hook that is further out than the front wheels.
