Default Found part of my answer.....

By scrolling backward I found a dirty and a clean picture of the front axle.

So I still have this nagging question..... the front axle looks very similar the the heavy duty cast GM axle I have seen on CGT and some Ford gun tractor and even on some odd ball F15a and C15a......

Who made that axle..... Ford or GM......?

The one pictured in this thread looks as if the flange that attaches the eggcup is also small like a C15a......

Reminds me of the two C60 we saw at Angus' yard that were Aussie contracts (Sept 44) but built with C15a small flange and with 16 inch tires.....Duh!!!!

I wont sleep tonite!!!!!!

Default GM front axles

There were a number of cab 11 Fords built with GM front axles due to the Ford version not being available initially.
