Darrell,

You have spotted a rare version of the Land Rover 1 tonne 4x4, or 101 as it is often known as. It is the Vampire, only 20 built, the name stands for Vehicle Army Mobile Position Interfreometry Radio Equipment. Its purpose was to identify the origin of radio signals. The frame on the rear is to mount a telescopic mast, which was stowed for travelling, on the roof.
