Yes we do have the same basic motor. The difference is that someone has changed many of the bolt on parts to the Carrier engine parts. Thats why mine has the proper generator/ extension/ fan/ manifold and carb. Your engine is just a straight Civie one that has been fitted into a carrier hull. I think you should invest in some proper motor mounts to go under the rubber cushions. The amount of shaking and vibrating that goes on in the carrier could lead to some problems down the road. It coudl really get messed up if it wasn't secured.
