I.D.

The little fibre board and resistor is your drop down resistor for the 4 1/2 volt Ford coil (ignition supply)
Drill the rivets off your start button to clean up- the screws will hold it together on the dash panel. Havent seen that radiator before.

Special Bogie Wheel

Mike,

I see that your 'special' bogie wheel is from a T-16. The curved spokes give it away.

Look At What I Noticed

Evryone see how my RAD is in the wrong place or is it?

3 things are missing, can you tell what they are? lets see how smart you lads are, Hint Hint by the way the Rad was taken out to be cleaned and painted and going back on the same mounts, tell me why????

TRIVIA BIG MIKE

I spot two items. The first is the lack of the fan extension. If you had this it would be poking in your rad. The second is the lack of motor mounts under the rubber cushion.

Im not sure on the third.

GOT 2, Jordan, need one more:)

The fan is missing the cutouts on the end of the blades. But since this is civie engine and has the civie generator therefor its the correct fan. Is that it?

BIG MIKE 11-01-06 05:42

Yup , Civi engine, with a 1934 v8 CAR Rad , this type of model didn't need a Cowl or cover, acually it was at a slant, thats why it was place ware it is, no motor mounts , don't really make a differance its solid, but might install in future, no extenion on fan, Correct Jordan, why have one it runs fine without it.i'm just trying to figure out we have the same motor Jordan. WHAT A MESS.

Mike

Yes we do have the same basic motor. The difference is that someone has changed many of the bolt on parts to the Carrier engine parts. Thats why mine has the proper generator/ extension/ fan/ manifold and carb. Your engine is just a straight Civie one that has been fitted into a carrier hull.

I think you should invest in some proper motor mounts to go under the rubber cushions. The amount of shaking and vibrating that goes on in the carrier could lead to some problems down the road. It coudl really get messed up if it wasn't secured.

BIG MIKE 11-01-06 06:06

your rite about the motor mounts , i need 2 of those and I know who to call this week for them , i noticed they were missing last nite after going threw a intense inspection, as far as the generator as long as it does it'job its ok , same goes with the rad and or fan extension, Carbs ok just had it rebuilt, rebuiding the the old fuel pump, gas exchanger and getting new oil cooler assembly hook up's as well, fixed up the gas tank, i notice on your back bogis your running steel on steel did you get new rubber yet? I think if we combined all the shitbox carriers we have we could have one GOLDEN ONE like BRADS LOL, just joking we all have great looking carrier no matter whats in'em Cheers to us!!

[B]Big Mike,

This was in a box of parts that came with the UC( as soon you see other pics), and can't figure what ir go to , Fuse or something?

Definitely a Buss style fuse holder Mike. Is the white object on the left ceramic? If so, I'd get an ohmmeter and ring it out, could be a resistor, although not being familiar with U.C.'s I don't know what it would control. See if the wire with the stakon eye just reaches the stud on the left of the "resistor", could be the feed to it. Hope this helps.

:drunk: :salute:  CHIMO!

I, of course, meant right. Sorry.
