Default spot the difference

I noted a number of years ago the difference between 6 and 12 volt bulbs and sockets was that the contacts on the bulb ore 90 degrees off between them.

Smile Bulb Replacement

Looked up those sites and looked OK. I bought a standard 12/21W bulb with bayonet fittings and ground those off and found I could sweat off the ring on the old 6 volt and solder back onto the new 12 volt, fits perfect , so maybe this is an option if you have the time to tinker, cheers Andrew.

In the US, you can get them from Normanlamps.com. They’re in both 12v and 6v.
