It uses an earth return system via the "bus" bar. As you will notice the battery is positive earth (which you can change if you wish) (I run 12 volt negative earth in my carrier)
I have put a remote solenoid down by the battery to avoid running battery cables to and from the start button.

That's what I have done too Lynn. 12V neg earth with a solenoid near the battery, and a 12V starter motor. An auto electrician friend made up some resistors for the 6V gauges, although I've never had a working fuel gauge for some reason......Something to look into one day. Ron

Ron, my fuel gauge is one hundred percent reliable. Early carriers had a "dipstick"
![]() I did buy resistors for my other 3 Ford electric gauges from Macs autos, Stateside. (my carrier came out with a Ford commercial cluster like the Australian LP2)

Today the two exhaust pipes were installed at the bottom of the Bren, and the number of the Bren was painted

Good effort to you, Israel, and your friends at the tractor museum.
We do not see such complete examples of the Canadian made 3” mortar carrier that has been updated to British MK-II, with the British bronze data plate installed. ![]() Last edited by Michael R.; 03-07-21 at 02:19. |
