Isn't it the same switch as a 1940s chevrolet? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ignition-Sta...dVn-0V&vxp=mtr

Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 1858200, 277628, 820052, DR464 , 1S5216

As for the bypass, I think you would need to put a diode in the bypass wire so the starter motor doesn't try to draw current from the distributor.
