Malcolm, these were common back in the day. What about cleaning yours up?
Don't sand it, file it. I'd guess the other contacts are not badly burned. You could judiciously re shape the one we've seen if there is not enough travel? If you check out the part number you will then know if they are special to the MkII* or if they are common to commercial stuff. I assume it is an Autolite starter? when you have a part number, try mr google. Good luck!

Had a quick look at the mk2 manual and sure enough, no part number for the complete switch.......just 20 numbers for each and every piece in the switch. There was a head number, but it reads switch housing or something like that. Hard to say if it's for the whole switch or just the housing.
Pretty sure the chev switch will give you the insulating washers and contacts you will need to freshen up the original. |
