Hi Nathan - for you interest Carrier 2528 is a 1942 South Australian Railways manufactured Carrier built under Order No. MOS 146. I have added the details to my Carrier database.

Thumbs down

Bob, I'm mortified at your dis-belief! The comment I made was true ...

We live by a river.
I work for my wife and don't get much pay
I retired in 2010 - the papers from the AWM say so.
I research and I write.
Oh ... the house. OK: it's not so small by Aust standards I suppose!

Don't know about the Clampetts, but the Vanderbilts next door are just fine.

I only just realised i wrote the wrong serial number above lol should be 2838 not 2528 Yes you are correct Bob, 2528 is a SAR carrier but is quite literally ony half the carrier it used to be. All the tracks, wheels, diffs and turning componets remain but everything above the tracks is gone. It will be used as a parts donor for 1824 when i eventually get to it. I have been trying to locate all the unit numbers and everything else to go with 2838 but this is no easy task in itself. Restoration of 2838 is progressing slowly

Wink

Bob,

You're slipping: you didn't tell him the Commonwealth-registered C25649, hull 1824 was assigned to New Guinea (along with hull 1825, among others).

Default Slipping??

Hi Mike - no I am not slipping. I draw all my information off my carefully researched data base. The only entries on there are what I have gleaned from manuals, your Military Profile books, word of mouth of the owners and information such as you have supplied. Therefore there are large holes in the database that could be presumed but which I have not verified. It would be good to have the data from which you drew your last piece of information. That would be useful to correlate a lot of information on the database.
