Its the early pattern of skirt.
The vast majority of survivors seem to have the late pattern resembling those on a a MK2* Carrier. These are the ones presumably which were still in storage in large numbers at the end of the war and I can't immeadiately remember seeing a service photogragh showing one in NW Europe with the late pattern of skirt. Others may be able to produce a picture.
