Default Information on Ohm ranges

Hi

To expand on what Rob just mentioned the Ohms ranges of the sender and gauge units. Was just looking at this web site which offered some interesting information on universal sender units http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...rod/prd276.htm

Looks like your current unit is missing the arm but does the little gear shaft still turn? If so you maybe able to get an Ohm reading on the range.

Does anybody have written down what the CMP gauge Ohms ranges are? Are the round gauges different than the earlier commercial cluster units?

Gary which instruments does your C15 have the round military or the earlier rectangular unit?

Cheers Phil

On any old mv that I have ever owned, I have trusted a handy wooden dipstick more than a sending unit and gauge...

Hey Phil

I have the older rectangular gauges, I have attached a photo of the instrument cluster in progress. Yes the wheel still turns when I move the cork arm up and down.

Thank you everyone for your help. Does anyone have a photo of the arm that was mentioned is missing? I have the original Manual and am fairly certain that it says what the readings should be.

Gary

Default I'll try and measure one

Hi Scott

I'm sure I will see one of these at our clubs MV Rally this week and will measure the ohms range. If this is a direct interchange then we have a new source of sender units.

Cheers Phil
