I had the dubious pleasure of driving Half-Safe at Corowa in 1999 thanks to Bob Dimer who trucked it over from Western Australia. I say dubious because. as you sit sofar back from the bow with all that extra cabin built forward, it was a handful to drive. No we didn't take her for a swim.
Not too many people can say that they have driven the only vehicle ever to circumnavigate the earth on both land and sea under its own power. Thanks for the experience, Bob. (RIP)

I have Ben Carlins book, and the interior was standard GPA.
This shot of yours must have been after "Half safes" 1952-54 rebuild.

I took it in 1999 at Corowa.

One of my prized possesions is a copy of the first Half Safe book, signed by both Ben and
Elinore while at Melbourne. So I was quite chuffed to find the footage of them from that time.
