Hi Martin
I did find a truck outfit here in the States, couple of years ago, who were making new reproductions of the early `40s Chev Radiator. If I remember correctly their price was between $300 and $400 US. Didn't pursue it at the time because it turned out the radiator in my C60L was good, bit of a surprise as the block was split from being frozen. I'll try and dig out their web site and address, for future reference. Cheers Phil

I might be able to help, I've got a Chev radiator in good serviceable condition, but shipping from Gympie might be a hassle for you. Drop me a PM and I can send some pics

I'm not sure if this is the outfit Phil referred to and I have not dealt with them but they do list reproduction radiators for early 40s Chevrolet trucks.

Hi Grant
Not the source that I was thinking of the (I have not found my link to the site yet, may not have made it on to this computer) the outfit I was thinking of was primarily a heavy truck out fit that does reproductions of `40 and `50s as a sideline. I'll keep looking. One other possible source is http://www.coolcraft.com/ that list Chevy and Ford Truck radiators in the early `40s similar pricing to http://www.walkerradiatorworks.com But both of these are showing prices less than some of radiator shops around here are quoting to "make" on I suspect they are just planing to order it and tack on a profit. Like you I have not used either of these companies I'm just looking for a good source for the day one of my trucks develops a leak. I've bought "NOS" radiators off of e-pay what I got was material to have re-cored. Cheers

Does the chev C30 use the same radiator as the chev g506 1-1/2 ton trucks?

I think the only way we are going to answer your question is if someone has both radiators and can confirm the measurements. I will e-mail one of my US Chevy MV collectors friend and see if he has any units that I can look at to see if they look alike. Cheers Phil

Thanks Phil. I was just asking because I pulled a good rad out of a 41 chev that still was holding antifreeze and thought I could swap it for a spare tire carrier. I wasn't sure about offering the swap because the g506 uses a 235 cu. in. motor.
