oil soaking
An old mechanics trick and recomended in manuals ..You soak the new bushes in oil overnight , before installing them..The new bushes should have been oil friendly bronze bushes ..not plain brass. The water pump repair business' use the correct stuff ..not brass. There was a brand name 'oilrite' or something , for those bronze bushes.
