Kevin
You mention the seat frame with the Lift the Dot fastners on the front edge. I think these were on 1943 and up Carriers. My seat frame is dated 42 and it doesn't have them. As for the cusions having the tabs. Again I think there was probably a change in 1943 to incorporate the tabs. The parts manual doesn't show them at all. Also I think the CMP seat cusions had the same tabs. Perhaps they just started using CMP seat cusions. As for the colour. Ive posted up a picture of what the original should look like. its quite a bright green. As for the Lift the Dot fastners with the srews on the backside. I don't think they make them anymore. All that I have found are the externaly threaded studs.

I Have two NOS seat back covers, dated 1941. They are like you say, in a bright emerald green with a shiney surface.

I just checked on my carrier seat frames, they also have the two lift the dot buttons on the front edges. My carrier is 44.

This is the correct kind for the seat backs. As far as I know they do not make these anymore. It would be nice as they would be the most secure to use.

Hi, The canadian carriers rear seat backs and square bottom seat panels, were they ever painted?. I have an original seat back in 5 layer ply, stamped on the back with its part number, it shows no signs of ever being painted in olive drab or any other colour, would a quick coat of linseed oil surfice on my new panels.
I have another fact i have discovered during researching these seats is that some original wartime carrier shots show the, four lift the dots at the top of the seat others show five, i guess the 5 are were the opening if for filling with horse hair, any comments please. i will try and get some pictures later today.

I don't think he was refering to the seat cushions as being square shaped. its the wooden panles that fit into the seat frames that are square. All pictures I have ever seen show the one side as being round.
