I wonder if the photo caption was correct........there is the British Union flag draped over the engine covers might they actually be a British Army crew?

That is what I thought too, until I learned from Clive Elliott (also on this forum) over on HMVF the Danish and Canadian contingents used Humber Pigs during their UN tours on Cyprus, too.

The Life Magazine picture is part of a series of four pictures showing Canadian UN troops in Cyprus in 1964. However, this does not mean the caption is 100% correct. I think the presence of a British Union flag on the vehicle makes it highly unlikely the depicted troops are Canadian. Unless they were working in joint units?
