Thanks for the input.
This cable is definalty not NOS. It came off of a wrecked carrier that was stripped of all usable and not so usable parts. At first I wasn't going to use it since the outer sheath was broken but then I realised that the rest was in great shape, only surface rust. So I cleaned it all up and made a little bracket out of stiff rubber hose to hold outer sheath together. There was no rust inside it or on the cable itself. The nice part about where it was broken was that you can't see it all as it is under a cover in the drivers compartment. I'd take a picture of my repair but I left my camera in Windsor while visiting some friends. ![]()
