I went to a clearing sale on Saturday where this Chev blitz was, my intent was to see how much it sold for, but was called away before it sold.
I am curious as to what the horizontal channel bracket is above the rear window and its purpose. I don't recall having seen this bracket before on a truck. It is painted green and looks factory/original. Any other details on the truck would be interesting to know. The data plate on the dash was missing. Details of the truck are: 134 or 158"wheel base (hard to tell where it was parked) ARN 73014 Chassis # 2844200499M originally fitted with a bren gun gallows arm on left side of cabin late war fire ex bracket on drivers side of cabin rectangular dash no steering wheel radiator overflow tank mounting holes on left side of cabin, but never fitted (factory bolts installed & painted green) cabin fitted with a canvas rear window thanks
