Default GTAW (TIG) machine

I am considering a TIG welding machine for my shop and looking for recommendations or personal experiences from the group.
Previously, I owned a Lincoln Square Wave TIG 200, which I was not happy with at all. Being an inverter type unit, it featured a compact and lightweight size but dependability was questionable. Within the first year the electronic board burnt up, lucky for me it was warranties but that was almost a 3 month ordeal. If I ever had another issue with it, replacing these boards is EXPENSIVE.
So, I’m on the fence regarding inverter units, the good old transformer type welders were made to last.
I’ve looked at and been tempted by some of the new offshore stuff as they are very reasonable but understandably, throw aways.
Looking at one of the older transformer type units like a Lincoln TIG 175 / 185 or even one of the Miller products.
Thoughts?
