On the Road, spot the MV
Well today had me travelling from North Bay to Thunder Bay.
It really was an amazing day for spotting MVs. First was two truckloads of British gear, two FV432 one green one tan. The next truck had a (leyland?) 5ton and a Landrover. Unimog next to a garage. Next spotted was a Haggeland BV206 on a trailer behind a one ton pickup.... Following that was another BV206 and a M932A2 5 ton on the side of the road. Next stop, a Lynx monument then a M109 spg and a C1 howitzer. Finally, another truck load with two more FV432s in green. Not too bad I'd say to alleviate the boredom during a 12 hour drive. Who knows what else I missed at 100km/h Let's see what tomorrow brings!

Canada is very large, but at the end of the day there are only one or two highways heading West to East for much of it. There are a few bottlenecks on this end of the country....the trans Canada from where it connects to the yellow head near Portage la Prairie all the way to Nipigon is a long one. It is impossible to bypass the trans-Canada for that complete length of road. Yes, you might be able to get onto a gravel side road for part of it, but in the end, everybody will see what is moving on flatbeds.
To top it off, Manitoba even has cameras situated along the highways so you can watch from the comfort of your computer rather than sitting out in the arctic like conditions. |

Headed back to North Bay today. If anyone is looking for a BV-206 one of the ones that I spotted last week is up for sale, not sure on the others but saw three in total.
