Default Chance light Fordson

Just spotted this interesting shot:

Quote:
A Gloster Meteor F Mark III of No. 616 Squadron RAF Detachment, takes off from B58/Melsbroek, Belgium, shortly after joining No. 84 Group of 2nd TAF for air defence purposes. In the foreground a mobile Chance light stands parked by the main runway.

Default Chance Light

Hello All,

Not knowing what a "Chance Light" was I did a quick internet search and found this site about the Chance Brother's constructed airfield light.

Accessed 13th of May 2014 from http://www.airfieldinformationexchan...7-Chance-Light The source is the Airfield Information Exchange.

Well that is today's instalment of my learning something new

Oh and on page 3 and posted on 22-02-2012, at 08:26 and posted by "PETER THE EATER" is the very same photograph that Keith posted

Kind Regards
Lionel

Default Chance Light

Have a look on the RAF Vehicles thread - my last post but one (number 220) shows a Chance Light Trailer.
