Default interesting find

I visited the Dragoon Headquarters at Camp Petawawa on my way back from Coe Hill this week end.

They have a complete MkI* carrier on display in front of their HQ.
(CT112854)

The interesting thing about this one is the upper hull number is 5 less than mine! Since it was made on June 5 1942 it really helps with my est build date and CT#

Now what was interesting was my carrier has a battery box on the rear armour and this one never had one. The holes are all filled with bolts and the two Big holes are plugged.

I thought all carriers from contract 213 had battery boxes for the radios

They have very nice display of vehicles at the base and their own museum. I was informed that these are all static displays and have all motors, transmissions and cooling systems removed to prevent leaks!

I wonder if they could be persuaded to part with these "unneccessary " parts?
