Default Unwanted shed guest

I killed one of these browns last week in the doorway of the shed. This one was on his way out today and it now raises that question. How many more little ones are there and I hope I don't mistake one for a piece of rod.
"I HATE SNAKES" especially in my shed
Colin.

Tis the season
Couldnt agree with you more
As for control for the shed get some spider bombs as strong as you can ,double the rate and let them off
Will get the snakes as well if they are in the shed at the time
Just in the process of doing this in my shed

That reminds me of my brother moving round bales
He was picking up bales with a front end loader and putting them on the truck
One bale he picked up and was in the process of putting it on the second layer so the bale was virtually above the tractor when a brown stuck his head out and decided to decamp the moving bale
The result being the snake landing just in front of the steering wheel of the tractor and brother jumping off the tractor in rapid style

AND my favourite farm blitz story of my fathers
My father needed to move the blitz boring plant to a new site
He jumped in the old girl and set about starting the old girl
Once he got it going chucked it in gear and headed off down the track
About then he looked over to the passenger seat in time to see a brown snake coming out from under the seat heading to the gearshift
A split second later my father decamped with the blitz still motoring down the track with a snake at the controls

Default Worst we get here in New England is Chipmunks

You guys are having to much fun, (great posts)

The worst we get here in New England are Chipmunks trying to run up our pants legs when we drive off moving the home they’ve built under the seats. For those of you who may not have seen the Carton Characters Chip and Dale, a chipmunk is a small brown squirrel like creature with white racing stripes.

Our county agricultural extension services suggest moth balls for driving away pests. In the case of the snakes I would suggest dispensing the moth balls at close range with a 12 gage shot gun.

Cheers Phil

Snow and freezing temperatures are two reasons why anything in Canada that will kill you is probably much bigger than you.

Default Unwanted guests,

My very first military vehicle restoration I completed was an M38A1 CDN 2 jeep and I decided to drive it to our Military vehicle club meeting to show off my handywork.Everything was repainted and the engine looked brand new.I drove to the meeting where a few members were still outside talking before heading inside when I drove up all proud of my vehicle when one of them said I had a radiator leaking antifreeze. We lifted up the hood and the rad had overheated and spew antifreeze all over the engine and compartment leaving everything filthy. One of the guys took off the rad cap and we dug out a clump of fur which we identified as a mouse (or several mice) that had decided to make my radiator a home.I learned my lesson that day on the importance of plugging all holes when being stored! I never did get that engine clean again!
Derk.
