Metal Brake from Princess Auto
Hi all.
I stopped in at Princes Auto today to pickup one of their metal brakes. Wouldn't you know it they had jsut put them on sale. I got a 30" one for just under $40 with taxes. The box says the max is 17gauge but I was able to bend 16gauge with it for some carrier bits Im working on. The only thing they don't tell you is that you need to buy2 or more clamps. This holds one of the parts down while you bend the part. Just wanted to pass on an opportunity for some savings.

If your sheet metal brake bends armour plate for your carrier, be careful that the arms control guys don't find out. Too many guys rely on Princess Auto for their livelihood (and manly shopping pleasure) to see them shut down.

If it could bend 1/4 plate id be impressed. Somehow I know Im not strong enough and neither is the bench its bolted to.
LIke I said $30 is pretty cheap for one of these and it does work.
