Default WW2 Canada Civil Affairs

Hi all,

have just seen a WW2 picture of Major E. Shelly, who belonged to the Canadian Civil affairs. He wears the BD blouse with the Canada titles and 21st Army Group (GHQ & Line of Comunication version) patches.

To which service or corps did Civil affairs officers/soldiers belonged please? Supposedly, what headgear and cap badge did he wear then?

Thanks a lot. regards,
Phil

Hi all,

just a word to tell you that answer was found (thanx Mark), and that I couldn't delete the original message. Thus here it is:

Officers and other ranks of the Canadian Army Overseas, who were employed on 'Civil Affairs', either on a Civil Affairs Staff or within a Civil Affairs Detachment, wore the cap badge and titles of their parent regiment/corps. Officers and other ranks for Civil Affairs were drawn from throughout the Canadian Army.

regards,
Phil
