Does anyone have any photos please, printable/publishable preferable, of the 1934 Ford and Chevy Armoured Cars?

Have you seen Roger Lucy's Weapons of War booklet? Let me know which photos you want (by page reference) and I will send them to you. BTW, these two vehicles are universally recognized as the 1935 armoured cars as this was the date of delivery. Clive

I have not had the pleasure yet Clive, though I did e mail Roger direct through MLU. I really just need two photos, one of the Ford and one of the Chevy, the choice being yours! Can they be e-copies please, and suitable to use in a mag?

Although the 'Cars were referred to in some sources as '1934', it is clear that they had DND #s, 35-F-XX, marking their entry into service that year. Both Ford and GM moaned in 1937 that they spent $8500 each on them, and this arguably persuaded Fords to politely refuse to treat with the DND over the 25out of 50 required 1938 15-cwt G/S trucks for 1938 financial season. Cheers! |
