Bob Carriere - Artiste
By now we are all very familiar with Bob's CMP talents, but he has other talents that are less known. Anyone who has visited the barn in Hammond will recognize some his his handiwork with a welder.
The first example I call "Big Bird". It is about 8 feet tall, and is cleverly constructed out of scrap steel. The beak is a scythe blade attached to a spoke hub that represents a head. The head is attached to some flat spring steel that forms the neck. The neck is welded to a pulley (body) and two lengths of rebar are attached as legs. The feet are brake disks. The bird stands watch over the barn yard. The next is a not so big bird - a rooster that hides near Bob's house. Clever use of tractor seat pans and saw blades are used to make this realistic statue. I believe Bob also made this tower: The barn did not escape Bob's artistic touch. Here is a close up of Bob's CMP handiwork... I did not include his bird feeder - one of the four wonders of Hammond - which you all should see at BB3 in August. So much for gorilla welding - this guy has talent!

Some people can take at a pile of scrap and turn it into a work of art.
Some people can take a pile of scrap and turn it into a CMP. Few people have the talent for both. Hats off to Boobee.
