The REAL day Canada became a country...

On April 9, 1917, Canadians captured Vimy Ridge, considered to be the most heavily defended point on the Western Front. Canada suffered more than 10,600 casualties during the battle. In all, 619,000 Canadians served during the First World War. Only one survives today.
