Ted never be sorry to correct a mistake as I am always ready to be corrected especially on things like this. As I said in my last post it was a toss up between the two based on my interpritation of the photos in Bart's book.

Default Medical vehicles

I bet not many of you apart of Radek have seen this one before. This car is owned by a friend of mine Vilem Fencl who saved it from a scrap few years ago. It is 1940 International Harvester D15M made in USA. It has got a very interesting history. In 1941 there were two of these ambulances donated to Czechoslovak Brigade Group in the UK by Czechoslovak countrymen living in the USA. One was equiped as a Dentists surgery and one as a Surgical ambulance. Only one survived and recently underwent complex restoration. The period photos are from ceremonial handover in Leamington Spa.You can see Czechoslovak soldier proudly standing beside the vans. Another picture shows some of them reading brass plate bolted on the side which says the following:
Donated by:
NARODNI SVAZ CESKYCH KATOLIKU V AMERICE
(stands for National Assosiation of Czech Catholics in America)

FEDERATION OF
AMERICAN CZECHOSLOVAKS
OF TEXAS

SPONSORED BY
CZECH-AMERICAN NATIONAL ALLIANCE
OF AMERICA

The last two pictures show its current state.
