How is the steering wheel fixed to the inner column? Is it a pinch bolt or a centre nut and splines/taper?

If it is a pinch bolt, the judicious use of a wedge in the slot can help free it from the inner column. If it is a centre nut, are there any small holes either side of it that could be used to screw in a set screws or bolts to help break it away from the splines/taper?

Paul.
