I remember the trouble caused back in the mid '60s here when a tragic news bulletin reported on the crash of a Vickers Viscount:

Quote:
Just before 1pm on September 22, 1966, a Vickers Viscount 832, VH-RMI in Ansett-ANA colours, was cruising at 17,500 feet between Mount Isa and Longreach on its way to Brisbane. On board were twenty passengers and four crew.

A fire broke out in the pressurisation blower and the flames spread quickly. The crew commenced an emergency descent, but 22kms short of Winton the plane broke up and crashed.

It was Australia's equal fourth worst commercial airline disaster up to that time.
The relevance here was we had TV advertising of a cigarette called the Viscount and in the batch of ads following the announcement there was one for Viscount with the following jingle:

Quote:
Light up a Viscount, a Viscount, a Viscount
When you light up a Viscount
The best of them all.

It’s always a pleasure
at work or at leisure
When you light up a Viscount, the best of them all.
I kid you not.
