Default Carrier Data

Hi Col

You may not be aware but I have been building a comprehensive Carrier database for a number of years with the intention of eventually launching it onto my own website. One of these days. In the meantime, I am harvesting Carrier info from far and wide. The latest sub-project is Strickland Carriers.

I would certainly be interested with anything you come up with.

The main Manuals for Carriers are the 1941 Series under the broad heading Carriers, Machine Gun, L.P., Nos. 2 & 2A. These were notified in A.A.O's dated 31st December 1941.

Description, Operation and Maintenance - Mechanization Pamphlet No.7

Workshop Repairs and Maintenance - Mechanization Pamphlet No.7A

Spare Parts Identification List - Mechanization Pamphlet No.7B

Then there are the revised 1943 Manuals under the broad heading Carrier M.G. (Aust). These were notified in G.O's dated 31st August 1943.

Instruction Book - Drivers

Workshop Manual for Carriers M.G., 2 Pdr and 3" Mortar

Parts Identification List

If you or the Curator needs any assistance or advice, feel free to contact.

Bob
