Default I was there!

It was sold for £1100 and I will post pictures as soon as BT get my broadband connection connected!! Am using a college IC at mo. Carrier was MkII 1944 and had been modified quite a bit. Tracks and wheels looked good and I bit up to £850 foor them! Was bought for someone down south. Tin work all rusted through, no fron gunners armour, engine faccacked! Have shafts had been pulled so suspect gearbox ceased.

RR Services told me this week that they had purchased a Carrier in Scotland.

Condition was said to be poor!

Default That'll be the one

Hi Neil
That will be the one. Reckon it will be destined for US as I spoke to the guy who bought it who I know, and he said he was sent to buy it and came up with a low loader! He had been told to bid without a top limit!

Nigel

I would have thought Carriers are easier to source in the States/Canada than here.

Default carrier in Alford Auction

Kevin I met up with my G2 contact at the weekend seems it was bought by Scottish dealer WH Bone on behalf of Mike Stallwood...but by all accounts it was very rough as was most of the other items in the sale regards malcolm

Default Origin

I take it that it's a Canadian built carrier?

When at Tanks in Town at Mons I asked one of the English participants about any new exciting finds in his neck of the woods. He mentioned a Carrier coming up for auction. Just a few hours earlier I heard Mr Stallwood saying to a member of his party riding the C15TA he'd "bought that carrier for 1100". And now it shows up here on MLU. What a small world it is. . .

Default Built 1944

Yes Lynn it is Canadian. According to its data plate was built in 1944. Saw the small leather gunner's seat handle lying in the footwell though.
