Yes Dave ,

You are correct . The rubber does seem to be OK , but with the constant vibration of a vehicle , the old rubber may break away .

I have a few 9.00-13 WW2 NOS rubber inner tubes here too , still wrapped and boxed , unopened . Not worth the risk of using them , but they do look brand new .
