I took the fire truck body off the cab 11 this morning and am trying to figure out what kind of body the floor was for. It was likely original equipment. The wheel wells have been covered over but the welded on angles facing up might be original. That ridge about 10" in from the sides and across the front and back is post army.
That number complete with stars is stamped in the side of the frame rail on the passengers side. What would the number indicate?
How scarce are these 15 cwt Ford Cab 11s? I guess all Cab 11s are scarce but this one doesn't seem to generate near as much interest as the C15.
It just dawned on me that the number 1G 10495 F is a Ford engine serial number, but what month?
I also forgot to mention that it has Chev rear ends front and back.
