Keith, it is interesting that you started this thread. Yesterday I went to the parade in Coe Hill. The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment had a small display and included were about 10 binders with part of the museum's photo collection. While perusing the albums I found a photo of my Uncle Jack Milne and a cousin Norm Shannick. What a day for me!! I asked about copies and the museum curator has scanned and emailed the photos already.
My Uncle Jack was a sargeant in a carrier platoon and was mentioned in Farley Mowats book, The Regiment. Another uncle is pictured inside the cover of that book. For anyone interested, The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment is doing a second edition of that fine book (with permission of the author)and it is due out this fall. It will include the original photos plus a few extra. The guys attending the parade yesterday thought the hard cover would be in the $35.00 range.
