Hi Pat..
Yes the H1-B visa is the work visa for speciality occupations,or ones the US economy really needs,that can't be filled internally..
...The legal immigrant ,steps are way down the song and dance road from there...
And there are only 65,000 allotted per year..
Agreen card...??Legally..??? light years and big$$$$$$$for immigration lawyers and more song and dance..Maybe 10-15 years down the road...
If one is lucky or unlucky ..whatever the case..
But it is not encouraging to try legally to become an American citizen..
