Alex, I am not trying to be a smart ass know it all, but when you said CTC started in the 50's it got me wondering. I have a bunch of catalogues from the 30's so I Googled and came up with September 1922. I think Brian Gough has been collecting Canadian Tire money since 1943, his birth year.
 I also have a 1942 Snap On catalogue. The price of a tool box was $100.00. I can now buy that same size box at CTC for $100.00. Cheers, Barry
