This was kindly donated to me at this year's Corowa. It may seem a trifle damaged but it contains many tasty bits. Unfortunately the data plate was missing.

Where's the can of WD40 when you need it?

It's amazing how much of the stuff you can salvage if you try hard enough. I cut up all the old wiring looms from my Dodges, asses the usable lenghts, and make new wiring runs out of the short sections. I've gotten to be a dab hand at reworking the civilian Dodge wings / fenders with their composite curves and wire-turned edges (thanks to an improptu masterclass from an old panelbeater restoring Bristol busses I found once) and the metal Meet Forum is the most useful tin-bashing site I've found on the 'net. http://www.metalmeet.com/forum/index.php I think the biggest challenge to date was the cab roof on the TD20; http://www.gwim2.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/td20u.htm ... but don't tell the wife I bought a truck with a knackered roof just because I had a repair section on the shelf. Actually most of the work they show on there is a little too good for our old trucks, but some of it looks downright useful.

I know the 'tucking' procedure, and also that the shrinking discs work, just that I've never shrunk anything that way myself. (Ghost of Kenneth Williams laughs in background)

			Hi all

In anticipation of restoring a Cab 12 C60L instrument housing and panel, I did a stocktake of what I had. I then spent in excess of three hours stripping down the one pictured above with the following results. Firstly the throw away stuff.

			And the good stuff harvested.

Of course to complete the job I will need to strip another housing, then paint and rebuild. Probably another six hours. Never mind. As I have said to numerous people before, if you have any old panels, no matter how bad they look, I can always find something to salvage. And I am rapidly running out of stock, especially Ford stuff. So HELP!! Bob
