Hi John,

Apparantly, these Daimlers were converted for a recce role in NW Europe 1944, for use by The Inns of Court Regt. A customer who I restored a Daimler Dingo for, in Inns of C markings, had shown me photos of them, I think from a book of the history of the Regt. Being lower, they were less likely to be spotted over hedges and could hold several crew members, whereas the existing Scout cars had space limitations. I suspect there was also a shortage of Scouts as well. It would have been a field mod.
