The extended pipes are Bergepanther and fitted to clear the ground anchor blade when raised; of course these items and others may have gone for some reason.

Paul H has sent me a couple of pictures from one of his esoteric books, the first you have seen and the second shows another recognisable armoured car at the same spot.

As far as we know the photographer used this location with the KT as a backdrop for a whole series of images which we think are in the IWM. These two are the usually published ones and it appears only the focal length or printing enlargement changes.
