Default My dum CMP rims....

Well my C15a cab 11 never went to school and flunked geometry
'cause I installed regular 9:00 x 16 tires removed from surplus M101 trailers and they went on very easily.... at least according to the farm tractor tire dealer I dealt with......

Now what really happened is after using the tire shop hydraulic press to remove the original 1940/43 tires I used a needle gun to remove some pretty heavy caked rust mixed with leftover tire bead canvas and dried rubber....followed by heavy sandblating.

Made sure the rim halves ringed like bell and sprayed with Phosphoric acid...sun dried.... and double coat of POR 15 gloss black..... I am sure that the removed rust accounted for the slip on fit. By the way the modern 9:00 x16 tires are 4 inches taller and about 13 inches more in circumference.

I doubt if with all the wear and tear on old CMP rims that modern tires would be hard to fit...... my experience anyways.
