My mother was looking through some of her old treasures and found a red flag that she had at school. mum asked Kathy when did the flag change from red to blue and Kathy had no idea.
The next day when Kathy arrived at work her boss had his book on flags out to find out what the rules are on flying flags on rememberance day, and there it was, up until 1941 the blue flag was to be used at official functions and the red flag for other. The rules were changed to alow the blue flag to be flown at anytime to stop confusion.
