That part number indicates a British carrier part number, and they are certainly too short for a 15cwt.
Yours will be a third variety; short 38 coil with the hooks going opposite. I'll have to test my good ones this week and see which go on easiest, and the relative tension difference between a short and a long spring. While the extra pull of the shorter one may be better for mud and snow operations, it really isn't relevant to most of out use.

Any others out there got some handy to check?
