Recce troop for the 3 RR was Stuart VI's.

Daimler Armoured Cars did NOT serve as recce vehicles in standard armoured regiments. Only in divisional recce untis like the 7th and 8th Hussars.

This guy's friend has it wrong. Scout cars? Yes, absolutely.
Daimler Armoured Cars. No.
