A nice batch of pics was sent to me recently by Ross Beckley titled "Out and about", taken in New South Wales, revealing some gems:
![]() This rather forlorn Chev cab 12 is at Millfield. More pics here.

You'd have to have a sharp eye to spot this as being CMP based. It's an interesting ... er ... vehicle because a close inspection reveals a 11/12 cab floor, a winch and auxillary springs on the 101"wb Ford frame. Could this have been built on the remains of an early FGT?

And nearby is this ex-NZ Army F60L, with the serial NZ22752 and tac markings of an Arty unit. I'd like to know more about how this NZ vehicle came to be in Australia. Max Hedges also has found an ex-NZ Ford. What is the story behind these imports?

G'day Keith, Tony, Some interesting pix in there Keith all from my backyard, the AEC at ****** sawmill would most likely still run that info was from the late owner, he was confident about that. There are a number of interesting relics around this part of the world. The pic that Tony posted re the x eyed 12 is that up around Mulalley/Coonabarabran area as the topography behind is similar to the terrain I sometimes frequent, anyway interesting looking at the pix and the text in this site cheers Dennis
PS anyone going to the auction on Friday 2/9/05 Cardiff |
