I discovered this morning that Lee Valley Tools had opened a shop in Northwest Winnipeg and they happened to carry 10-packs of brass, #6 1-1/4 inch, countersunk, slot head wood screws, so off I went and purchased a pack, all in with taxes for $4.03 Cdn.
That just left blending them in with the factory originals which were black adonized finish. As it turned out, I had a can of satin black rust proof paint on hand and a quick light coat of this dried as an excellent match to the originals. In the attached photo, the two new screws are located at the top, second from the right and the extreme right at the bottom. David |
