Default Close-ups

The bonnet badge reads: BRITISH BEDFORD

The cab fitted on the Maple Leaf was the ugly looking generic GMH built cab, they used these cabs on just about everything commercial they assembled during 1937/38: Oldsmobile - Chevrolet - GMC - Bedford - Maple Leaf

Default 117

The Chevrolet DD V117. It was listed as a 15 cwt in the 126 ledgers, but the load rating on the rear of the ute was: LOAD NOT TO EXCEED 12 cwt.

Doh!

Thanks, Ken.

Now that I have looked at the original post for the umpteenth time, I finally see Mike had already covered that tidbit of information. DD 117 certainly got into a lot of photos back then. I wonder whatever happened to her.
